The Public Works Division is at the heart of most road, water and waste issues in Hampton. Public Works is separated into several major divisions, departments or services, including Engineering, Solid Waste, Streets and Roads and Environmental Services.

  1. Chemical collection event moved from Coliseum to Cooper Elementary in November

    Oct. 12, 2017 - Due to a large event being held at the Hampton Coliseum, the household chemical event scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 18 has been moved to Cooper Elementary School, 200 Marcella Road.
  2. Mosquito spraying planned in Wythe, Rip Rap Road, Thomas Street, Seldendale areas

    Sept. 21, 2017 - Weather permitting, Public Works' Environmental Services Division will conduct ultra-low volume spraying for mosquitoes this evening in the Wythe, Southampton, Rip Rap Road, Thomas Street, Seldendale and Freeman Drive areas of the city.
