Youth Commission

The Hampton Youth Commission continues a 20-year legacy of youth civic engagement and leadership development in Hampton city government.
Commissioners, appointed by City Council, are able to affect city policy in the areas of youth leadership, civic preparedness, youth activities, and encouraging our young adult community.

First three Mondays of each month at 6 p.m. (does not meet in July or August). Meetings are held in the Ruppert Sargent Building, Veterans Conference Room located a 1 Franklin Street, Hampton, VA 23669.


The commission is comprised of 20-30 high school teens from the City of Hampton. View a list of members.
