    Charles H. Taylor Arts Center hosts a series of changing exhibitions throughout the year. Many of the area’s leading arts organization partner with the Hampton Arts Commission in the presentation of annual exhibitions.

  4. Hampton History Museum

    The Hampton History Museum serves to increase the awareness and understanding of the history of Hampton by maintaining an educational and research center for the collection, exhibition, interpretation, preservation and promotion of the vast historic resources of the city.

  5. Hampton University Museum

    The collection is one of the most impressive of multicultural art in America. Founded in 1868, the museum is the nation’s oldest African-American museum and the oldest museum in Virginia. The holdings represent the first assemblage of African art collected by African American William H. Shepperd and it is the first institutional collection of work by African-African artists.

    The center is an artistic, educational, and community-focused facility with an emphasis focus on training and showcasing the vibrant display of local artists in the area.
